For some unknown reason i can't add any more fields to form views on pages. I made the majority of the component a few weeks ago. now when i have come back to finish it i can't add anymore feilds to the form views i have previously set up. if i add a fly view i can add fields to that just not to any form views... please help, I'm on a deadline to get this component finished!

When you click on the field you want to add in the form, is the form dashed border becoming RED ?
If not, that means the field you want to add is already present.

If you try to add a foreign field that is behind a FK that is already in form, you cannot.
Only the first level FK can be added.

If none of theses considerations answer to you request, please tell me if you got a javascript error.

No it the border is not becoming red... but it is the second foriegn field that is behind an FK so that must be it. Thanks for the response I think I can acheive what i want by using the fly views.

Thanks for the help much appreciated and kudos on an excellent peice of software.

This is not a limitation of Cook, but a technical limitation.
If you link to a foreign table, that make no sense to be able to change datas from this linked table.

The only case is when you are sure to deal with a 1:1 linked table (extension table)

1:1, N:1 and N:N are not supported yet.

I am the first to be very exited of this feature wich will come in future.
Once the V2.0 released, it will be more easy for me to add new functionalities.

Thanks for your patience.

Ok so sorry to keep pestering but i am having trouble with data being pulled up into my fly view e.g. These fields have values associated to them but are not shown in my fly view. This data is pulled up using a foriegn key called menu_name which is selected from a dropdown at the top of the screen.

Please see first Image:

Second image shows the source of the data mand as you can see there are values associated to it:

Can you explain understand why this is happening? is it possible to do what i want here?

Thanks
