Also, I should have mentioned that I left the default regex in place...

I know that admin mentioned you could switch this off but, you would certainly want this ON to prevent users from entering non numeric/int values.

Hello All ,
thanks for your feedback.
My config is
OSX 10.6.8
FF 16.0.0.1
JOOMLA 2.5 SandBox
JK Version CMS J1.6 J.17 J2.5
JS Framework : Mootools

Test Confirm :
- Back End Collection : Arrows not working
- Back End Item edit : Order Value Lost.

I noticed that the order field was not by default sortabale.
so i retest by cliquing sortable in the back end collection
Still the 2 problem.

Then I changed to JQuery Framework
Same problem

Then I changed to V2 Beta of Jcook
Arows are working but order item edit value is lost

Is it possible to fix the arrows system on the Production Version of JCOOK ?
for the order in the edit back end, i will simply not show this field and force my users to manage orders from the back end collection only.

Hi there,

RE:mfr75 wrote:

I'm not absolutely sure if this is the case because a lot of new features have come thick and fast and I can't remember when ordering was added however, I suspect that ordering is one of the latest features that has changed since V2.0. If this is the case, I would suspect that it will not be further developed in the Cook 1.5 version (which was sort of a bridge to v2.0) due to a phasing out of support for developing for J1.5.

That said, I've noticed the a massive drop in the number of v2.0 tickets and I understand from admin that there are very few things left to go stable with it.

Please note, you cannot now revert a project to v1.5 of the builder if you switched to v2.0 but, as I said, this is very close to being production ready now in any case + it has a ton of new features that I think you would miss if you could step back.

I'll open a new ticket for the item ordering issue specific to v2.0 referenced back to this thread.

Hope this helps!

OK thank you for your information.
Is there a way to duplicate a project so that i can work and try both version of Jcook 1.5 and 2.0
One of my project is big and if you says that i can not go back to v1.5 by testing 2.0 ... i will be force to redo everything.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help. you can close this thread. (even if V1.5 is not solved ...)
Is there a ETA for Jcook 2 ?

Hi again,

FYI: New thread regarding V2.0 ordering fields here. Please could you take a look and add anything according to what you've found with it?

Sadly, no there is no way to duplicate a project at the moment and I'm not sure there ever will be... It would certainly be nice to have but, understandably, that function would put a hell of a lot of strain on server resources.

On a positive note and (sort of) in answer to your other question, I don't know definitively however, I think we're probably talking about days as opposed to weeks for the production version 2.0 from the way things are looking here on the forum.

+ I've not seen anything fatal reported regarding the production of components using v2.0 beta...

Obviously, its totally up to you, but I would recommend sticking with V2.0 rather than rebuilding now... V1.5 won't be around for much longer from what I understand. V2.0 was a little late to be released but in anticipation of its arrival, way back in April, admin was advising that soon after V2.0 beta testing, V1.5 components would need to be downloaded as they'd no longer be developed.

Best of luck
