Hello,

Bravo for Cook, it's fantastic!

Here are some suggsestions:

An option to add pictures would be great!

Joomla! uses a lot of images in general, manage image is really nice.

Have the option to upload would also be good to add files from the backehnd am well, for example to create components of type "download manager".

A tutorial to make a simple extension sreait also nice, for example a small application that displays fronted by the quon rule in backend, for example fronted display a text of what is written in backend.

I still have quite a hassle to test COOK I did all in an intuitive way, it's not obvious ... Thank you.

I hope this functionality in 15 days.

Lot of work, because it will include a nice upload security engine, and functions for :
- indirect file access
- Mime type check
- modal preview
- resizing
- cropping
- fitting

Also huge work on the sandboxes to manage your files. Quotas, restoring processes, etc...

The Joomla default modal image picker will be integrated (com_media), but to my opinion is not secure. So to test it in sandbox, I have a lots of hacks to implement in com_media to secure it.

Then, you will have the choice to use it or not this Joomla media manager for production, but in sandbox it will be hacked for security.

I will furnish you a securisated uploader with an indirect file access integrated in your component. ;-)
Images, but not only. All types of files could be handled and previewable if possible.

So...
This functionality is comming late, but fully protected for your uses.

Would be nice if you could add the image uploader to my component as well. I've really been struggling learning all this MVC structures stuff.

Thanks

Have been keeping an eye on this feature as could be very useful, just wondering if you have an update of when it may become available?

Thanks for getting this up. :) But there may be a problem.

I had no problems adding it to the table and running it on the sandbox, but once I added it to a page I got an error on running the sandbox (error 500).

I restarted the builder and then managed to get the sandbox to run, but on editing the page, the page rendered without any css and the following message appeared next to where the image was to load.
JError: Unable to load JDom class : JDomHtmlFlyFile

I got a little further.

Edit page now loaded fine, was able to find and select an image from my hard drive, but on saving I just get a white page. Closed and retried and got the same result.

Fixed
Should be working now.

I see that you didn't specified any alowed file type in the image field properties.
Open the properties, and save the default selection of images types.

In facts I see it is a little ergonomy issue but I will fix this.
