Different title shown in frontend 04 Jun 2013 16:29 #7324

Hello,

When i see my component live in frontend, and i click in to one of my records. In my example it is a recipe.

The site title is the same as my "Layout / Item" in J-Cook.

I would like the site title to be the same as the "Field" Name i have created. Is there a way to do so within J-Cook? or should i change this in layout filecode?

Create a fork of the view and change the title of the document.
Actually, the example is given to to exactly this.
The forks are available only since Cook 2.5

You can also do it on the old way, as you ever did before.
On the displayXxx() function, change the title of the document.

Hope it helps.

OK.

Is there a way i can change the design so it looks like all the other regular articles on my website. Is it possible to use the css from my overall template in some way so there will be no difference in the title for example. Or the tables for example.

css styles are in yoursite.com/components/yourcomponent/css/yourcomponent.css
Edit it, delete what you think you don't need,...

I understand, and many components are not respecting too.

What can be a good standard for you ?
I can improve there.

Can you give some examples of class names to include ?
