In the builder, when working with 20+ tables it can sometimes get a bit unwieldy and therefore, I just wanted propose a very simple method to help us to 'clean-up' up big projects...
Would it be possible to create
'virtual' folders in our tables list that we could
add/remove our tables to and from?This would allow us to be able to
collapse/expand '
groups' of tables in or out of sight according to the specific part that we are working on.
For example, here are some 'dummy' tables that one might have in an event component, organised into folders;
FOLDER 1 - Places
FOLDER 2 - People
- Venue Contacts
- Band Contacts
FOLDER 3 - Events
- Events
- Band Venues
- Tickets
I know this is not a big component but I think it illustrates my point...
I believe this would be a massive help in de-cluttering the environment much like looking at table nodes (fields) of foreign tables and speed up development even further.
Furthermore, this could be further developed
later to create 'natural' groupings of tables that could be utilised when generating a
control panel (home screen) type view for components - as and when that feature gets implemented of course!
Anyway, just a suggestion!!!
