I have created files, and a step by step guide for adding a Joomla Style control panel / main page to any Cook component, there is even an advanced step that adds the accordian style to the right hand side
However before I publish this to your forums, I just want to check that you are not including this in the new version, as if you are, mine will become obsolete very quickly, and I will just let folks wait for your version

Nice looking work. Puts my example to shame. Well done.
I personally look forward to seeing your example and step-by-step guide, we can always learn more.
And, while I am certainly not the Admin, I am pretty certain that the CPanel is on the list - but probably not a high priority for now. So, go for it!
Here's the Forum link to my example: http://www.j-cook.pro/forum/7-design-your-application/2578-component-control-panel-example

Cool thanks.
As Edward said, CPanel is not started to develop yet.
So you can go on.
By the way, once you've stabilizated and improved a good code, let's introduce it in Cook, with your name.
All such contributions are really apreciated.
Thanks Morgan.

Will be posted over the weekend, going to do some last moment dummy testing to make sure it is foolproof(ish)
it uses the existing SYSTEM.CSS file, so logically, if you use a compatible and well designed ADMIN TEMPLATE it will just take on that template's styles
I need to isolate why the main icon is not appearing next to the title.. i just KNOW it is going to be a typo..

Yeah, created all files, done docs, but need to do a dry run first of the final package. Also, didnt have a place to house it as my website was offline as it is not actually needed at the moment due to not advertising my services. It is now online specifically for this tutorial.
Also rewrote part of the code to loop though a list of controller and generate the panel dynamically as opposed to manually creating each button.
Expect it tomorrow

OK posted in 'Coding inside your component' for someone techy to try..
Do not alter production site.. download a component from JCook and experiment on that one.
Report errors in post.
I went though it with no issues
