I'm not having any success using a range filter with a date field. I see there is a date picker which works great for filtering on a single date but when I put in a range filter and use a date field, I can't get things to work. The date pickers will popup but when I click on a date it doesn't respond

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Dave

ok, thought I'd go pack to filtering on a single date and now that is giving me problems in the 2.5 sandbox ... anyone else having this problem?

Stil I get some problems there also.
I would like to rewrite this well also, with period filter, months views, and maybe calendar.
It is true, there are few issues with range filter when it is used with dates.

Hold on, I am looking this in this days.

Can you explain better your problem ?

- Does the filter contain 'submit on change' option ?
- When you submit the form with another filter, are your date range working ?
- Did you tried to recreate the filter ?
- Do you get a javascript error

It is working for me...

What browser configuration ?
- Internet Explorer ?

To precise also, Range is working for only one field.
In future will come the 'period' filter, wich will work for 'start' and 'expire' fields in case of perioded items. (Published periods, Subscriptions periods, ....)
Because 'Period' filter will work slilgtly differently than range.

I tell you this that you understand Range is bounding only ONE date field.

Moved to Troubleshoutings until I found the problem.

I have one date range filter attached to a date field in a foreign key referenced table which is not set to submit on change

when I click on a day, nothing happens, i.e. the date isn't selected and the calendar popup stays visible with the following error being reported in the console when I click on any date:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of null calendar.js:1
Date.print calendar.js:1
Calendar.callHandler calendar.js:1
Calendar.cellClick calendar.js:1
Calendar.tableMouseUp

I'm testing this in the 2.5 sandbox using Chrome ...

Thanks!
Dave

ps. as soon as I get a chance I'll try this on my test server

did a quick test to see if "Submit on Change" made any differences, and while it submits the filter change, the date is not set and has no effect on what is shown in list.

also checked in 3.0 sandbox and that didn't work either

I tried this in another project and was able to get it to work when the date used in the range filter is from the base table. In the same test project, when I tried to use a date range filter on the same date field through a foreign key referenced table, the filter does not work. Not sure why but that should narrow it down.

Thanks!
