problem is that the path have both / and \
so the explode does not work fine

solution:
add line 174:
$relativePath = str_replace('\\',DS,$relativePath);

You are using PC.

The DS should be '\'
The problem comes from the parent path. Not the funciton.

Yes, correct, it was the definition of DS.In an other component it was hard coded as '/'. I changed it in DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR and the probled is solved.
