HI Admin
As indicated earlier
I have a time field type in a table that i am experiencing problems with validation

the table data is completed step by step using 4 layouts
- each layout has the reuse value defined on the save button in the toolbar
- the reuse value is the same for all forms

-> step2_layout (the time field data entered here)
-> save button
-> step3_layout is loaded (no validation error)
-> data completed on step3_layout
-> save button
Then get a validation error
"Wrong datetime format for Reg Preferred Time. Please retry."

looking at the Admin Side
-> the record was saved and passed validation
-> the original value is present

Probably easier to understand if you take a look at / enter some data in my project
project = HELP
Start at this layout => registrationstep1 or Registrations

Thanks in advance

I would like to check your project, but I can't find it again.

Can you give a try before because I changed something with redirections.

I think your issue is coming from the validation rules or xml form file, but maybe it is solved already.

Hi Admin

sorry

Just got it opened need to change one redirection - as i have found a workaround, but need to show you the issue first

I am sorry for the memory.

Even when you close and open again ?
These 20 seconds, I can change it, but I really do not want to enlarge too much !!

yes 20 seconds always even when closed all cook pages, cleared all cache options, and reopened
- as posted elsewhere tonight i think it may be due to a firefox upgrade...
i will try to uninstall current firefox and reinstall an older version before i trouble you to extend further

Anyhow as for the help project...

build the project - from the front end
start at Table = Registration

Layout = registration step1
select save => this will pass you to registration step 4 (yes i know its out of order)

Layout = registration step 4
input a time value in to the reg preferred time field
select save => this will take you to registration step 2
(NO ERROR GIVEN)

Layout = registration step 2
select a group name
select save => ERROR! "Wrong datetime format for Reg Preferred Time. Please retry"

after you get the error go to the backend registrations and you will see the reg preferred time has been saved earlier after leaving step 4 (the time validated ok at step 4 and is displayed correctly)

The workaround:
Now set the save button redirects to go from step 1 to step 2 to step 3 to step 4 to registration details all works fine

The reason is the reg preferred time is filled in last just before the registration details and is not validated twice

why it does not work in the first order i dont know... but would prefer the user to select the date and time before proceeding as it is a booking component and not much use getting to the end to find that you have just entered all that data for nothing if that date and time is not available

Thanks again

He he, but please split your projects in parts.
I've just recieved a CPU alert right now.

I am currently fixing your other 404 issue.
Then I'll come back here.

I think a limit of points will be defined, don't know when.

As I told you before I cannot find your help project.

Can you simplify the test, please ?

I mean, is the redirection really involved ? Is it working without ?

Can you reproduce the test on a more simple try, in back if possible.
Because if I dedicate so much time on every test, I will never have time to improve the service.

Thanks to understand.

Hi Admin
Thank You - unsure why you could not see help project...

I have recreated the issue in a new project called "Test Time Field" its the last one in my project list

As requested it has been created on the administration side...

I have included some notes of the tests that i have performed in the Registration record called "click here"

Thanks Again

HI ADMIN - THANKS AGAIN

TIME FIELD ISSUE - Fixed (thank you)
REDIRECT WORKS - For editing existing record

Unfortunately
REDIRECT ISSUE CREATED - For new Record
- The current ID is not passed In the redirect
- a new record is created for each step of the redirect sequence

Have tested in front end and backend - both have same issue
(The current ID was Passed correctly in the redirect for new records before Time Field issue was fixed)

see notes in my test project => "Test Time Field"

Thanks Again
