The nullLabel error has been solved and the component works some way. I think something is not yet OK with filtering and there seems to be a difference how it works depending on whether there is only one filter or 4 filters.
The one filter page works pretty reliable, the 4 filter pages works rather erratically.

1. The filter options very often are very difficult to select. They just fly away and the filter reverts to the default value.

2. When you select a filter option, the filtering is done, but then the process seems to go on endlessly refreshing the screen continuously. You need to stop the processing with the browser stop button. This happens with IE9, FF and Chrome.

3. Even if set "Submit on change" in the filters attribute, meaning to me that the filtering is done automatically without klicking the search button, same as in Standard Joomla, this process seems to work quite randomly, sometimes it filters automatically, sometimes you have to klick the search button.

4. In my opinion filter labelling could be ditched. I have never seen labelled filters anywhere as usually their meaning is described by the default value inside the filter box.

Giori,

Sorry for this old message.

1 & 2 : Can you precise better ?
Maybe because you have linked filters. Nothing about the number of filters.
A linked filter is for example "Categories" and "Sections" (just an example)
If you select a Section, the "Categories" filters must be refreshed. So the page reloads it is normal.
But if it reload in continuation, it is a big problem.

3. There was an issue there. Filters on enumerations was not setted 'submit on change' by default.
You still can decide the behavior of the click event on the properties. ('submit on change' option)
Fixed.

4. Yes, you are right. Label should be empty, and if the user want to set an label, it is possible to set it in the filter properties.

I had a similar problem with the page continuously refreshing after I modified the filter in one of my apps. I wanted the first item in the select to be the first item in the list to be the selected value so I set the 'nullLabel' to null but I found that the page kept refreshing itself under certain conditions (There were several other filters as well).

I found a much better way of achieving what I wanted so have not needed to investigate the problem further.

Afterthought - Perhaps it might have worked if I had deselected 'Submit on change'?

The filter issues seem to be solved when running the project in the sandbox. Everything is fine.
Will have to test again after downloading the component.
