[CLOSED] problem testing project in sandbox 28 Dec 2011 23:56 #763

Hi, I’ve been trying to test your product since last week, but I had a problem after add a layout redirection in a front-end item layout page. The grid of the front-end collection layout page stopped displaying the items already saved.

So I read in the forum that someone else had this problem and terminated the session, closed de browser and restarted everything. But this solution didn’t work to me.

A left it out and in the day tried it again but the error was still happening. I started a new project, but I’ve got the same error in this new project also.

So, I waited some days and erased the two previous projects and started a new one. I got the same error on the grid of the front-end collection layout page. Also I’ve noticed that the projects I already erased are being displayed in the front-end and back-end.

I don’t know how to proceed and after wait so many days for an automatic environment cleanup I’m writing hopping someone can help me. The component I’m working now to test your service is com_demo1567.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

I made several changes.
Try to regenerate now.

Thank you for your attention.

I don't know if regenerated the project correctly but I executed the project in Sandbox and it still was in the same situation. So I clicked on "Refresh files list / Re-build the project" and tried it again in front-end Sandbox and the grid was not listing the items. If try through the back-end Sandbox I can see the records on the grid.

It works perfectly.

Your items should be unpublished, or have unsufficient user access authentification level.
Visible in back, but not in front.

I understand your point but I can't understand why it worked (insert, update, delete in front-end item layout and listing in front-end collection layout) on my first project until I try to change de layout behavior of the front-end item layout). After that I can insert (and even edit if I use a direct link with the correct item id) items through front-end but I can't see them in the grid.

In the scenario I reported I didn't change any authorization permission of the layouts. How should I proceed to verify that?

Thank you.

Your items are unpublished.

I published one of them for you. And I can see it in the sandbox.

Before you add the publishing system functionality, all your items was visibles. But now, you have to publish the items to show them in front.

Thank you very much monsieur Administrateur.

Probably I will need some additional help to configure the authorization level of each task in front-end among others things I need to do. But it can wait until 2012.

Happy new year! And congratulations for the good job you are doing with this.

Is your problem of visibility solved ?

If you need help for ACL authorizations, please open another topic.
