Hello All,

I propose the ability to be able to 'click' on a Project you own, then to be able to Duplicate it (to say 'copy of XXXX') and so you have an immediate working Backup of your Project or a 'template' you can work with without affecting your original Project. Maybe?

Hi,

I have just been wondering if this was possible so searched the forum and found this post and the related one so I guess it is not yet possible.

I would like to add my support to the proposal to allow cloning or duplication of projects please. This would be very useful for my situation where many common tables are used in different components.

Thank you for listening!

+1 for this.

I really, really need it :) Would be great for version control.

For example, I'm about to change my table structure and try something out. But I may need to fall back on my old version.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers

I agree, the ability to duplicate a project would be very useful, allowing developers to branch projects without rewriting from scratch.

As it was explains somewhere else (don't remember right now where), next version of cook will include some kind of forking ability. Let's see what admin has to say about this.

agree to all of the above, big need here for reasons stated and a few more. In my case I split projects due to size and I have to reproduce the common tables in every sub-project that needs them.

Trying to keep the tables that are shared across these projects in sync is a painful process and I'd much prefer that we just have a way to share the tables but one step at a time I guess ...
