I still thinking about how it would be nice and usefull sometimes to have possibility to open some view in modal window.
Is it feasible?

Hi,
I don't see save button on the modal form when setting grid task properties of 'Edit' and target = modal.

Is there anything I am doing wrong?

Regards
Vivek

Sorry I posted this in another topic, I noticed the toolbar was missing as well, but I didnt realise this functionality was so new so I suppose its view only for now.

Brilliant functionality by the way, I see we are closer to be able to add FK items to select boxes whilst in another form soon!

It is not only view. It is form as well.
But as always, you must HAVE a default form + You must have the rights to save if you want to see the button.

Did it answered ?

I have a nice grid, and a form which works fine, but when I change the layout to point at the form in modal, I get the form. O problem, but there is no toolbar in the modal window

I am unable to achieve a Modal View. Perhaps I misunderstand.

I have a view grid and a form, set to default,

In the grid task properties of 'Edit' <- edit is present yet task properties to Set Target is not visible?

Thank you,

Edward

Create a COLLECTION layout for a table
Create an ITEM layout or the same table
In the collection view, select one of the items in the grid and open the properties
Tick CREATE A LINK
Select the ITEM LAYOUT
In last dropdown box, select MODAL

Done, the item will now open in a modal view as opposed to a full page. This is a complete feature with FLY BRICKS, but in FORM BRICKS the tool bar is not appearing for me
