Hello Admin: I am very new to Joomla so I like jcook because it can help reduce the time of the learning curve for me. I want to create a back-end component with a control-panel which links to a number of configuration tables. I was able to create the component and the required tables but, I am stuck on the default view which should display the icon-links to the component tables. I understand that this feature is in the development stage which is great. As an interim solution, can jcook provide a static 2.5 framework in zip format which newbies can use to get up and running in a shorter time? Thanks for your help: vlemos.

Well, I finally did it. I created something that I 'hope' is useful to all members of the Cook Self Service/J-Cook Pro and Joomla! communities.

After much demand I have created an example Component built by Cook Self Service that shows how to add your very own Control Panel to your Component (post build).
