Hi Admin,
This is not really a new ticket as such as i fixed it but thought i would post here to let you know as i guess its an issue that may arise again in the future and i also have a workaround

THE ISSUE
After making some major changes to your project such as table names, fieldnames , fk names, layout names... you may encounter a 404 component not found in the sandbox but your download appears to work and function as expected

WORKAROUND
- Clear the dataset by using the Flush Dataset Option on the Projects Tab / Page in the builder
- rebuild the project
- project now available in the sandbox
- you may see a mysql error on some pages (admin side - didn't test front end)
- rebuild the project again
- enter sandbox all worked for me as expected ;)

Excellent.

You are right and this is new from 2.0.

The difference is :
Now the dataset is contained inside the installation file (not in download, but soon)
So when your component is installed in sandbox, the dataset is installed at the same moment (The last green tick in the builder is a void call)
But, when you have an inconsicensty in your dataset after a lot of renamings in the same time, of FK removed, moved... you might experience that you component is not installed with not error message at the installation from the builder.

This is absolutly normal because the builder is forcing to pass. The reason is that Joomla is randomly returning me an error "Unknow column Row 1", or something like that, and it is impossible for me to workaround this.

The installation process works perfectly in 99.99 % of the time (never anymore had problems or fatals for a year), so I consider it is not a big deal.

What Cook could do is to control the installation after having done it. Ajax check.

K+ For the work around.

EDIT : Dataset is not contained in installation file, but HANDLED by the installation.
It is a little importance, because to be clean, since 1.6, your component contains SQL install files.

About Moderation: no sure what you mean?
I am not a moderator and I didn't change the subject - to [SOLVED]?

Although i appreciate that simple things such moving threads do consume much of your time

As a token of my appreciation for your the continuous effort that you and the other active forum members put into Cook may i offer you my assistance as another forum moderator?

If it makes it easier for you to spend even just a little more time "behind the wheel of development" I would be only too happy to assist however possible.

was referring to the fact that I'd incorrectly marked the topic!

I don't suppose you've ever faced any issues with decimal field validation? If you get a minute, I'd really appreciate any insight you might have into this issue.

Thanks and congrats once again!!!
