About the publishing wizard, you are right it is not totally integrating the full natives features for the moment.
Next and previous are very good also. All this is on the roadmap.

Good to know, especially since I haven't had chance to test it yet!

Thanks again @BTB3000

I reallize that JDom is locking a little bit for that. I will try to open JDom better to be able to create custom tasks.

Hi all,
Just a note to say that i have updated my original post on custom taskbar buttons - some changes and cleaned it up so its a little easier to follow... but its still a work in progress

No Worries, i had to do it anyway for one of my current projects before i could move any further...
AND i got it working without needing to define the tool bar with the $bar->appendbutton(....) method

And another reference i found today that might help those wanting to add custom toolbar buttons (audibleid? :whistle: )

Hi All i think i missed one... the function custombutton() in jcontroller.item.php

needed when you use something like this $result = parent::custombutton();

This is what you call a component builder. I was able to master using this in a very short time and the resulting component works like a charm. Not just a basic component builder but a fully working component builder with forms fields tables all ready to go. You can make the list and item views to display in the front and back end. Also there is a great forum just starting to evolve and I'm sure this will grow very rapidly when you all realise how good this tool is.
