The line you was removing was important because raise the formvalitator before save/apply.

The problem was simply comming from a reserved name in formvalidator.js

I used the name 'do' for and object property and IE does like.
Coding is now a piece of cake

Well I'm glad it's resolved now. And can confirm all works perfect.

Thanks for looking into it.

I added a few alterations to my component and re-generated it, but I'm having the original form validator issue again with internet explorer.

It was working great.

Have you changed anything

I think it's a problem with my members component not cook.

I created a new component and it all worked fine.

I will try to see what I changed to make this happen.

For starters it's just so easy to design an app in a way that I'm used to i.e. database first then views followed by customization. The fork system is pure brilliance from a developer standpoint as I can override things and still add and update my projects with minimal effort! Truly amazing to be able to build components in Joomla using incremental refinement without having to do everything by hand. Thanks for the great tool! I am so much more productive now than ever and I can't imagine building components any other way!!!!
