The importer will cut you off all the boring work.
Just drop a SQL file, or compressed (ZIP, GZIP), and take a rest during the importantion which can take some time.
A huge cascade of treatments are done to inspect the best possible your database declaration file.

The importer will :

• Find the Foreign Keys relations based on explicits names.
• Instance the wizards when the field type is known as a Joomla magic field.
