I just achieved this functionality by forking but I thought it will be a great addition to the product.

When we drag an item from the foreign key table, if there is an option to show only the count of rows instead of the data itself.

For Example:

Department Name : Manufacturing
Employee Count : 10 ( When clicking on the 10, it should take to the Employee page by showing all the 10 employees)

That's two votes for the COUNT function (see this post )

and hopefully it would also allow adding a link to the list view for the foreign table
