Where is the Date Format inherited from? 29 Oct 2013 18:24 #11476

Just trying to figure out where the date format is inherited from when I choose the "Inherit" option on a date field in a table. I know that if I set a specific format here, and allow the views to inherit the date format. the views use the format specified for the field in the table.

I'd like to be able to let users configure the date format but not sure where one can override this behavior.

Thanks!
Dave

It is not possible to do that.

inherit means in the builder, then in your component it is static.

It is a big lack, but it is because of a problem of string decoding when you post from form.
It can be added in future.
Coding is now a piece of cake
