I have noticed in Joomla 2.5 that articles, menu links, modules, categories has a language field so that you can associate a language to your content. will it be possible to do the same in j-cook ? so my content will change (or will be filtred) based on my language?
many thanks

This functionality is already in the roadmap.
It has a low priority for the moment.

There are a lot to develop before. (Nested system, N:N links, table extensions...)
Coding is now a piece of cake

It is a priority, but just after the Cook V2.0 release.

For me in local, the feature is almost working. It creates complex databases queries, so for the moment, I do not want to add new possibles issues during this closing session to finish 2.0

Thank's to understand.

About the language,
It will be a simple versioning system to handle a real multilanguage translation. (Not like the Joomla 2.5 native mode)
This same idea of versioning can be used to handle wiki, and time rewind (as features ideas in future)
For the moment : languages... and it is comming.
Coding is now a piece of cake

Language is not properly handled in Joomla. There is no way that cook implements this.

This feature is coming with FoF (Rapid App Developpement).
FoF will make language field working for all alive versions.

Thanks to have waited unil now.
FoF is in the works and will rocks.
And don't say thank you to me but to its author Niko : www.akeebabackup.com/

Ok, I was very busy with other non-Joomla projects the last months and missed some news. Now read a bit about FoF and is very promising. Will FoF be integrated in J-Cook or do we have to integrate it in our J-Cook components by our self?

FoF will be integrated into Cook and from talking to Jocelyn recently, many things are already done so he's testing, testing, testing! Watch this space,

Hi All just wanted to add one more "thank you" voice to all those who discovered the value of this amazing application. The website I was working on went to production few days ago and I do not want to even try to imagine what would it take to build it without j-cook. So - endless thanks keep it running and evolving I believe it deserves to be the core tool for any joomla application! Thanks!
