I might be being a bit naive here, but in a MySQL DB the Table Engine type can be InnoDB or MyISAM?

Is there a possibility to select, when creating/defining a Table which is to be used? This would save me having to make some major DB Table changes after downloading my Components.

Not for the moment.

If you write a little script you can parse your files automatically to avoid this loose of time.

It is a good idea. I keep it.
