Importing existing component 27 Sep 2011 18:26 #29

Would be nice to be able to import a component and edit, add functions using your application.

You mean to be able of import whatever component ?

I don't think so possible.

Cook is a simple creator, not yet artificial intelligence :silly:

A such tool coul'd be buggy if components imported doesn't respect the Joomla standard.

But I share the dream with you it would be awesome.

Example situation: there is some guy who made a awesome component with one table of news :) and he want to share his work because he think his component is highly extensible. He post link to his project or share a package, and he write on his blog "Hey folks I just wrote this awesome component with j-cook.pro" maybe you can extend it to solve you problem. And I click his link (or import package) and I have his project in my account ... and I have more time to deals with the adoration of my women ...

Yeah, this should be totally possible.

Accepted.
It means for us writing a function to clone a entire project.
We add this in the developpements list. (May not before 2012)

Amazing Tool !
And only tool I know that allows complete Scaffolding in terms of component creation. It really saves loads of time (actually much more than that). Simple architecture enables quick and painless changes at any time. Code is clean and consintent. It's just... what's the word... neat! :) Great work! You should definetely try this one!
