Drag and Drop Ordering problem 20 Aug 2013 20:16 #10868

I can't seem to get the drag and drop ordering to work (sandbox or test servers) so just wondered what I'm missing?

I have the ordering wizard associated with an integer field called ordering in the table and when I go to the page in the sandbox I see the crosshair cursor when my mouse is positioned over the ordering icon but dragging it just doesn't do anything.

any help would be appreciated ...

Thanks!
Dave

You must order the column 'ordering' ascending, in order to make it possible.

Also when you have grid groups, the orders are only possible inside the groups.

I have the list sorted by the ordering column in ascending order (so I don't see the tool tip saying it needs to be sorted on ordering) but nothing happens when I try to drag things around.

I just created a test project (called New Project) with on table (New table) and one list view (New Table) to test this and it just doesn't work for me. I don't have any groupings or anything ... just a very simple table

also, just ran it in Firefox with Firebug console up and get the following error when I try to initiate the drag and drop: TypeError: a.browser is undefined

Thanks!

Can you try again please ?
Cook is now working with the last jQuery version, and sortables has been upgraded as well.

Also in the Grid Column 'Ordering' Properties, did you well setted Control : Sortables ?

Hi All,

Maybe it is a different topic maybe not, but the question is should it be working on touchscreens as well?

Time to create page: 0.092 seconds

Although I found this tool some time ago I just started learning experimenting and building this first component on Monday and now on Thursday afternoon it's already online. Although I already had a working version done with another tool this is much easier to build and at the end you have the freedom to own your own component. Once you know how to use Cook you will boost your productivity as the learning curve is really moderate compared to many other tools.
