@Tomaselli while I really appreciate you working out this fix/hack for us it does not work perfectly and I'm wondering where the developer is and why he cannot fix this in a proper way as up until the start of this week the image upload has not been a problem for me. failing that an acknowledgment that he knows about it would go a long way.

please don't get me wrong I appreciate your help I just have some components that need finishing to a high standard and soon.

thanks

I just gave you my fix, it perfectly works for me, but it's probably also due to many other modifications I've done to the MVC of the jcook generated component.
Unfortunately I didn't have the time yet to test a fresh generated jcook component.
give me 10 mins I'll download a test component and I'll post the definitive fix.

what environment are you using? (j2.5 / j3.x)

p.s.
This bug is a stupid little bug, it would take few mins to be fixed.
if the main "chef" couldn't reply to your post, I guess, it's probably due to some important reason we don't know. He is always available to fix all the bugs at anytime.

I just did few tests on a fresh jcook generated component.

the fix I've proposed perfectly works.

could you please double check it again?
if you still have the issue.....please give me more details about it or send the jcook generated component to me, I'll fix it in a min.

I should have probably been a little clearer while your fix does work in regards to the image being placed in the right folder now, the preview and thumbnail images are still not displaying which looks quite unprofessional and while I realize I could go through and recode the thumbnails myself so that an image is displayed this is not a viable option as I have a lot of image fields and not a lot of time and also if this is fixed on the j-cook side of things when I come to update my component in the future it will add more work of removing my code.

For now I will wait until the main "chef" has fixed the issue on the j-cook side of things, but at any rate thank you Tomaselli all your help is very much appreciated.

Yes, I am here.

Sorry for these last days I was on holidays. And also experimentation a big personal issue.
It was not really holidays.
I am recovering my personal situation, just please give me some time please.
I am working alone, and I admit sometimes you really need help and I am not available.

Thanks Tomaselli for the fix, but I am not sure about the security.
I am checking today.

Hey admin, thanks for posting good to know your on the case.
I understand that managing and maintaining cook is a massive undertaking for one person and as such I am not expecting an immediate repair.
its just nice to know the issue is being acknowledged.

thanks

I jumped and started to work on a demo component... but 2 days later this demo component became the real component. I just showed today the end result to my customer and he turned to me and said... "this is more than I expected"... All of this is because Cook did cut about 70% of my work and provided me more ways to improve the usability of the component. The end result was 17 tables all related between than to generate a full dashboard for the travel agents. Thanks for Cook developers for such great tool. This component would not be possible to be done at short time with all the features in it
