Builder Field Label/Name 27 Apr 2015 12:19 #12928

Hello

I try build a list of fields and does not accept numbers.

For example, Name 1, Name 2, he should accept the number and create the field name, name_1, name_2, would not it?

Thank you

This is actually something that has been a 'feature' of JCook since as long as I can remember.

The way around it is to create the fields.. i,e

Field 1 (will auto create a field name of field_)
Field 2 (will auto create a field name of field__1)

and save them.

Then click on the EDIT icon and alter the fieldname to be whatever you want i.e field_1, field_2.

I am now trying these options and do not work.

I tried field_1, field1, field 1, field__1, fi2ld_1_2.

He created the self same result for the above examples 5: (field)

It seems that ignores numbers.

otherwise it correctly creates as field blue green (field_blue_green)

I'm using firefox or chrome.

thank you

Create the field, called it Field 1 by typing in the field label.. click the SAVE icon, let the fieldname autogenerate
Click the PEN icon, and now change the fieldname to field_1 and save it

Done

repeat for as many fields as you need

This is the kind of issue that the coming release is fixing.

All the weird behaviors of the interface.
It was a big mess after adding and adding features.
Now everithing in the builder is cleaned and stable.

Just wait one or two week. (more or less)
Coding is now a piece of cake

Yes, and for the moment nothing exiting more in terms of features.

Only Interface features. It will be much more compfortable for you.

I only have a 'token' problem (as before) coming too often I cannot fix it. It is strange. In case, you gonna have to face that for a while.
When it happens, just refresh or wait a bit. (I will explain all this).
I just say that for you to benefit of the new release before I have finished this weird problem coming from I don't know where in PHP sessions.

In few words, stay in touch. We are at the corner.

I have been using Cook for only a day now and it is the next best thing to Jagermeister. It is very easy to use and I see some of the greatest Joomla Components ever! coming from Cook users.
