The damnedest thing has happened on one of my components, this may be new, or just happened.

The default value of any string type field is '1'

I have literally just built a comoonent, and this default value is certainly not being honoured by the form, but looks odd in the builder. It can be deleted and stays deleted

Correction, it cannot be deleted. Not done a new build yet to see if it sticks

OK, its gone now

That was weird

Every single string / text field in my tables had picked up a default value of '1'

now they dont. moving on :-)

I didn't changed anything there these days because I only touched the javascript builder, and nothing from the PHP generator.
So it is very improbable.

I have now a similar problem, entering gives an empty string. Not NULL.
Before it was NULL I believe?

Hi All just wanted to add one more "thank you" voice to all those who discovered the value of this amazing application. The website I was working on went to production few days ago and I do not want to even try to imagine what would it take to build it without j-cook. So - endless thanks keep it running and evolving I believe it deserves to be the core tool for any joomla application! Thanks!
