Build Errors - time outs and generation errors
its the last project in my list- and ends in "_test" (im sure you will find it)
sorry name obscured as client does not want any project details publically disclosed
(And this is a public ticketing system :unsure: )

Last 2 days - getting 30 second time outs , generation errors similar to following
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /[PATH]www.j-cook.[PATH]path.php on line 170
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /[PATH]www.j-cook.[PATH]path.php on line 176
can eventually build by hitting retry

Before that - would have to cancel and restart the build process 3 times before the project would complete the build process for sand box

last few days build process back to completing first time

BUT TODAY - in about the last hour
I can not complete a build process
fatal errors / time outs on
Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded different lines each time
- build component for download
and
- build component for sandbox
and
- build refresh files list
???

I can generate it, but of course, the much bigger your project is, the longest is the generation.

sorry i may not have been clear with my description
- i get time out errors when i try to download, run in sand box or refresh files list

i am unable to get past the build component
it times out with an error
i get the green tick on first two steps
then error appears after a while
the error is similar to this-> Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /[PATH]www.j-cook.[PATH]Archive_Tar.php on line 773
the line numbers referenced each time are different
like...
on line 1080
on line 348
online 517

it does manage to calculate the points when refreshing files and download
I rebuild now and will let you know what i see from my end

Yes, I understand the problem.


There are no errors. Only a script that is too long to execute.
So the error never come from the same line.

I prefer do not extend the max execution time.

If your project is too big, you'll should split in 2 parts.

As I tell you. I can generate it in my end.

so if i split into two parts do i need to start from fresh
and i guess i need to give some careful consideration to what tables are in which part to avoid overwriting code when installing...

I am just about done with that project and will possibly not need so much build project time after xxxx_test project is presented
i can see how i can split it into two parts with minimal issues but i will leave it for "RON" (later on) after i have a clear idea on what functionality is needed

Oh no, don't split anything.

I extended to 120 seconds.

It pass without problem.
;-)

I didn't wanted to change php.ini settings just for that, so I extended this time execution only for building process.

  I found "cook" two days ago. Played around with it for a day and then within a day got rid of two legacy applications in IBM Lotus Domino Notes and replaced them with "cook". It was really easy. A piece of cake. Actually it was even easier than cooking. Cooking involves more work than developing with "cook". What can I say about "cook"? Great application great price for what it delivers great forum with a lot of information and fast responses active and friendly community fast forward moving development cycle So what should I say "Monsieur Le Cook"? Keep the good work going it will lead to success. Having become a paying member in the words of Edith Piaf may I say ..... non rien de rien ... je ne regrette rien. Vive La France.
