[FIXED] Ordering arrows error 02 May 2012 19:15 #2222

I'm getting a blank error when trying to use the Ordering arrow buttons to reorder items. Entering a number into the Ordering fields and clicking "Save" works just fine, but attempting to use the arrows to move items throws a blank error and does not work.

I looked around the forum and found someone with a similar issue, but they had renamed the Ordering label, and I have not (and I guess you can't do that anymore anyway). Any ideas as to why this isn't working?

Hey there. I can provide more info if needed. Just wanted to know if this was being looked into or if there's something else I can try out to solve this error. Thanks!

Not sure if this helps much, but here's a screenshot of the error.

It happens when you click on either the up or down arrow in the ordering column. Entering in numbers and clicking the "save" icon works fine. The arrows just throw an error. This is a Joomla 1.5 component and occurs in Firefox and Chrome.

Hum... 1.5 This explains that. Try in 2.5 ...

1.5 will not anymore be supported in futures versions of Cook.
I did a big update and sure is about it.

Ahh, unfortunately there are still a number of 1.5 sites out there and it's something I need to get fixed. If you're unable to fix it can you at least point me in the right direction as to how to go about doing it myself? (What file/files that the issue is happening in).

Hi,

I have this problem on an already edited and published site in 2.5.

Could you give us some information to fix it on production site?

Thank you in advance,

Fred

Arrgh, I don't remember.

Try to replace your classes if possible.
(models and controllers, item and list)

I think it is about the state vars.
