I am getting the error jqv:custom rule not found in sandbox mode for almost every field that has a validator? The type changes to reflect phone number, custom etc

I have tried this with a few of my components with the same results. To be fair I rarely use sandbox mode.

Re: [FIXED] jqv:custom rule not found 09 Nov 2012 14:59 #5168

I'm getting the same jqv:custom rule not found error on my component. I have discovered it is applying to my image fields. I get the error for each blank image field. So i have 2 image fields, I get two errors messages. When I upload one of the images and save, I get the two error messages. But when I open the record again to edit it and I leave the second image field blank, I only get one error message. for some reason it doesn't like a null value in the image field.

The images upload and display fine. It's just an inconvenience for my client to have to click through all these errors. Especially if they have hundreds of records. Any ideas?

Only one image field allowed per form - a joomla media restriction I'm afraid!

:( That's devasting! So I can either have the client live with having to click through errors when adding/editing records or start all over with another solution. Is there no other way? I really need more than one image. Will there be any issues if we continue through error messages?

I guess I could simply have the client upload the images first through Joomla Media Manager or FTP, then they can simply enter the file names in a text field for the additional images. Then custom template code with <img src="...> to display images.

Question is, "Is that faster than just clicking the error messages.

No, no...
wait.

Only one picker per form because it is using com_media (If somebody know the solution let me know)

If you have more than one image field, you must use the uploaders.

Do you mean you have this error on 2.0 AND when your field is NOT required ?

Not sure what you meant by "use the uploaders".

I am using the CMS Compatibility for 1.6, 1.7, 2.5 on a Joomla 2.5.8 site and my field is not required.

Swich to V2.0 beta. (it support 1.6 and 1.7 as well)
Because now the validator is changed. Use jQuery at least.

I close the topic because it works on 2.0
