Hi,
I have tested it in sandbox and also downloaded and tested in the localhost.

When I am creating a new item and click the calendar icon nothing happens.
Also in my project in cook, I have selected the image-picker but all I get is the upload file.

The configuration screen that j-cook created in the component is not loading in the modal box either.

There is a conflict in the jquery validation.
The funny thing is that in the cook config screen I chosen to use Mootools as JSframework.

I am using joomla 2.5.9 no third part extensions, apart from the one I am doing in cook.

Help Please, I don't know how to sort this.

Thanks

Hi VeCrea, thanks so much for your interest.

What do you mean by other options?
On that view I have a field title, publish field, start date and end date field, category field, description with editor and two other text fields.

I am using joomla 2.5.9 standard administrator template. I haven't changed anything so I would think it should work.

These are the settings I use almost always use, and everything's fine.

Thanks again. Your screengrabs were of great help.
I checked my settings and the joomla compatibility was set to CMS joomla 1.6, Joomla 1.7, Joomla 2.5.
I Just changed that to Joomla 2.5 V2.0beta and it worked.
The calendar and the image picker.

Great so if anyone else is having similar problem, just check the compaitbility setting.

One thing I noticed though if that now the 'cancel' button doesn't work.

I think I so a topic here about this so I will check this one.

Thanks a lot.

And if you select an action for the "cancel" button ? Does it work better ? Or you erase this button and re-place it in the toolbar ?

Hi again, I tried your sugegstion but didn't work.
I then chose 'yes' to load a copy of jquery and it now works fine.
So just to wrap it up.

If you someone is having problem with the image picker adn calendar, make sure you settings are correct (As per VeCrea's screen shot). And if you are having problem with the 'cancel' button, in my case the solution was to say 'yes' to load a copy of the JS framework.

Thanks VeCrea for you help, this one is now sorted.

Cheers

This is fine if you don't want to use Access control.

If you want to use it you can't use the 2.5 beta build system

Access control currently breaks the build

Although I found this tool some time ago I just started learning experimenting and building this first component on Monday and now on Thursday afternoon it's already online. Although I already had a working version done with another tool this is much easier to build and at the end you have the freedom to own your own component. Once you know how to use Cook you will boost your productivity as the learning curve is really moderate compared to many other tools.
