Project : Cinema Program
2 Tables : Movies, Categories
Embed Framework : NO
Include Dataset : YES
Form style : Condensed
Features : Reduced + JDom complete
TODO : NO <--- (This has no effect if it is YES or NO)
DB automatisms : Table
Timeout loading : 30 seconds.
Joomla version : 3.0

We have run out off time to complete one very small component.
We run into difficulties 2-3 days now.

Step by step procedure of our problem:

Open the Builder and select the project Cinema Program.
Flush the dataset.
Run in sandbox. --> (This time is OK)
Enter one record into "Categories" and one record in "Movies". (Whatever data)
Just close the Administration SandBox and reRun the Test in SandBox without any changes in Builder.
The Administration panel opens normaly but without our component installed !! <--- (This is our problem)
or opens normaly but without any data into 2 tables....

Please help because we need to proceed with this customer ASAP.

Fixed.

It passes now...
But it means that you have a filter that have lost its field. You may have changed the table structure and removed the field linked to this filter.

The concerned filter will only show '- Select -' as null value.
When you see this filter, you can drag a new field inside or recreate it in the builder.

For your 2 empty tables, it means the datas has been lost.
Datasets in sandboxes are still not stable.

Almost all thoses problems comes because you have renamed fields in table, or recreated the structure when the layouts was done. This is possible of course, but it still lacks a little bit. When you first design well your database structure, then you have no problem with the layouts.

Adding fields in table is always possible, only removing them can cause problems sometimes.

Really sorry. I am staying highly active on the forum this week. So it is the moment to post all issues you can have. I will try to be as reactive as possible.

Dear Admin,

As i said in my previous post (and tested right away) i dindn't change at all anything in the builder.

I just add 3 records in sandbox in table Categories, close it and re build it again... it looses the 3 records just added.

FIXED.

The problem was with email fields.

I have rewrited it all. I saw your dataset and I understand you do not want to loose it.
With this new code, it will be much more stable.

You can now reinstance your email field.

I must say that I'm leaps and bounds ahead of where I would have other been with J2.5 with full thanks to the folks on this forum and specifically to Cook so you'll never hear me complaining.
