Now getting a fatal error on sandbox build. There is just a red line in the details box.

It was all going fine this morning (I am 7 hours ahead of gmt). I added some of the image fields a few at a time and tested in the sandbox, and all was ok. Kept on testing every few fields.

then about 5am GMT, everything froze up, I was in the process of removing some fields from a detail layout. Firefox throwing up errors and then freezing. I tried, refreshing and then leaving for 30 minutes but didn't clear. I shut down firefox, left it for 30 minutes, came back and it was working again. But I discovered that on several collection layouts, the edit task on the grid had turned to a question mark. I trashed the fields and replaced with the edit task, but when tried to regenerate, I'm getting the fatal error on the build part of the process. Hope you can sort this out.

Thanks

I've also had difficulty so far this morning in trying to run the sandbox, the preparation dialogue "Run in Sandbox" is slower and I am only getting a white screen whilst the browser seems to hang waiting for the page. Not sure if your servers are under unusual load?

I've been testing image uploads, and perhaps others have too, so would be surprising if there wasn't some impact on performance.

This morning though, ie. 12 hours ago, it was all working as fast as ever.

I think it is much more about a server security that slow down your connexions because of such quantity of AJAX calls and traffic generated.

I have a look on that.

I think I can optimize the building process.
For the moment, during building, there is no response of the server until the final result.
I will, right now, work on AJAX regular responses to keep an eye on the process.

What is very strange with your both projects, is that I can see in my logs that your projects builds endded correctly !!! But the final response don't come, so you cannot download !!!

Stay in touch.

@mosss

It is now working.

But, I'm quite sure that is about the load of the server.
Today, the host had also problem of loading of their own home page !!!

Well, I finished the work that consist to have a constant feedback of the process through the generated logs.
All is invisible for you, it is just technical aspect.

The problem is not definitively solved, but when you get this, just wait 5 minutes and retry. It also can be a conflict between 2 buildings processes.

To be continued.... Monday.

thanks, will give it a go. Is it due to the complexity of the project, would it help if I broke it down into two?

Don't split your project if you have a plan.

It is due to the shared server.
I'm currently working on a migration for a convenient server.

so, when you have difficulties, just come back 30 minutes after.
Sorry for inconvenience.
