Is J-Cook an active service? 22 Mar 2022 22:52 #15927

Are you guys still doing this thing?
You've had an invalid SSL certificate for the past 4+ months, the paypal subscription pop-up doesn't work any more, so I can't figure out how to subscribe (yeah, tried disabling all pop-up blockers and different browsers, same result), and loads of people complaining that their subscriptions aren't activating.
It kind of looks like you don't care any more. It's a shame. J-Cook used to be good when it worked.

I think J Cook is nearing the end of its life... the Developer is pulling away.

So best to find another solution - otherwise you'll have problems with PHP8 and beyond.

For starters it's just so easy to design an app in a way that I'm used to i.e. database first then views followed by customization. The fork system is pure brilliance from a developer standpoint as I can override things and still add and update my projects with minimal effort! Truly amazing to be able to build components in Joomla using incremental refinement without having to do everything by hand. Thanks for the great tool! I am so much more productive now than ever and I can't imagine building components any other way!!!!
