Is there any way to put a browse button on a form field? can do this later but just wondered if there is a way that I have missed.

Do you mean a file browser ?

Not yet, no.

The "File" type will be present in future version.

thanks, yes, I did mean a file browser. great tool anyway but looking forwards to the next step. Just getting images in views is something I seem to spend alot of time doing.

I'm trying it in my colour project just as a test, just one table and one backend and front end collection and view. Running in the sandbox, I try an upload. It enters the filename into the field but when I try to save, it just freezes on a blank screen.

Any ideas?

ok, tried quickly, not freezing now, but whichever type of file I try, it's saying not allowed. have tried png and jpg. extensions definitely lowercase as in the allowed field types box.

Yes because you didn't specified any Mime type (allowed file type).

But, now, I just fixed this to have default extensions as 'JPEG, JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP'

Please regenerate.

ok, I thought they were ticked by default, but. just regenerated, this time it save ok, but if I then go back to edit it it comes up with error: JError: Unable to load JDom class : JDomHtmlFormInputHidden.

update

All works fine on the fly, just on a form edit that get the error.

Like the modal preview - nice touch!

Although I found this tool some time ago I just started learning experimenting and building this first component on Monday and now on Thursday afternoon it's already online. Although I already had a working version done with another tool this is much easier to build and at the end you have the freedom to own your own component. Once you know how to use Cook you will boost your productivity as the learning curve is really moderate compared to many other tools.
