One thing that would be very useful and might not involve much work, would be to be able to save a backup of a project or create a duplicate.

when experimenting, this can save hours of recreating things if the experiment doesn't work. Of course one option would be to generate the component, but this then doesn't allow you to go back to the project and adjust anything.

Perhaps this is already possible and I have missed it?

This is something that was already discussed here in the forum...

They are looking in to it, to have the possibility to duplicate a component or even just part of the component, so you may reuse a set of table fields on other applications...

that will be useful, I hadn't seen that in the forum. Thanks for pointing it out.

Yes, but it not in priority.

Cloning a project means to copy all the database items, some yes, some no, change all the ID's...
Or to serialize all the project and save in a file, then reverse it to create a new project.

It is not easy to do, but if we do this, it is much more the idea to integrate the cloning functionalities in Cook.
Coding is now a piece of cake

This is what you call a component builder. I was able to master using this in a very short time and the resulting component works like a charm. Not just a basic component builder but a fully working component builder with forms fields tables all ready to go. You can make the list and item views to display in the front and back end. Also there is a great forum just starting to evolve and I'm sure this will grow very rapidly when you all realise how good this tool is.
