Data Type: 'Joomla user' not expanding in Layout 19 Nov 2013 01:38 #11673

Hi All,

have visited and revisited this to make certain I am not going quietly insane. A Table 'companies' contains a Field Type 'Joomla user' and this Field is included in my List and Form fly layouts, however when Selecting (or trying to select) say Username from the Joomla user field (using the + symbol) No fields are expanded and I cannot select.

P: SimpleCRM, T: Companies, Layouts, Collection Company and Companies.

Is it just me?

Thank you!

Edward.

Is it an old field ?
Because since Cook 2.0, the JUser field is considerated as a regular FK. (before, it was a special field type)

So you may have a legacy JUser field instancied when yuo reopen old projects. It should work the same, using automatic default field names.
Try to recreate it in the builder with the same name.

If you delete/create with the same name, the dataset will restore intact.

EDIT : I putted in FAQ, not because it has been asked oftenly, but because it is important question. Thanks for asking.
I guess you experience this problem. If not, can you open new topic so we can leave this answered question here.

Not old field, but now resolved itself upon browser cache clean and 30 minute rest :) It just came good.

Thanks.

Ok, cool.
Anyway, as I said it can happen for JUser fields created before Cook 2.0.

I found "cook" two days ago. Played around with it for a day and then within a day got rid of two legacy applications in IBM Lotus Domino Notes and replaced them with "cook". It was really easy. A piece of cake. Actually it was even easier than cooking. Cooking involves more work than developing with "cook". What can I say about "cook"? Great application great price for what it delivers great forum with a lot of information and fast responses active and friendly community fast forward moving development cycle So what should I say "Monsieur Le Cook"? Keep the good work going it will lead to success. Having become a paying member in the words of Edith Piaf may I say ..... non rien de rien ... je ne regrette rien. Vive La France.
