Hello,

Try as I might I can't seem to get the action buttons for new, edit, publish, etc to generate in the admin view.
Starting to feel like I might be stupid! I've added an item layout, client side, same name, regenerate sandbox
but still missing these action buttons.

Cheers,
Omni

I have checked your project.
None of the fields of your test project are stored.
For each field, give a name, a label and validate, or press enter.

When all your fields are null, the table is ignored.
When the table is ignored the views will not work with datas. (database less)

So, no forms are possibles.
When no forms are possible, New and Edit can't work.

That's your problem.

Cook should introduce a validator to helps you at the beginning. Could be a good idea to tell the user where the possible problem can happen BEFORE to generate.

Thanks for the reply. I've added field names and did generate again but still no 'new' buttons, or any.

Ok, I have checked your project.

You does not have ANY forms in your project.
How do you want it to send you somewhere ?

In front, the forms are not instancied by default.
A Fly Brick is instancied by default in front
A Form brick by default, in a back-end (item layout)

So,
place a Form brick. (as you did)
And then place some fields in, otherwise, you will get nothing.

That's it.

PS : If you work on a real case study, all those errors, you cannot do, because as the previous error you got is because you didn't named you fields, neither your views.
Now you create empty form. You was at one step to have it working : Only place ONE field in it.

Karma less.

Hi Chef,

Thanks for the reply. The form brick menu item is greyed out for me. How to add a form brick?

J-Cook is obviously a very powerful dev tool, and I would totally be a subscriber, but I can't figure out how to use it.
