If I delete the MAIN FIELD of the table, I have to recreate the collection views again from scratch, because they have errors when I test the component in the sandbox.

If you delete the main field, it should reset the first field as default.

What do you mean by errors in sandbox ?
Why do you recreate from scratch ?

Can you give more explainations please ?

I just tried and I can't raise this issue.

the order of the fields in the grid view is not the order I see in the backend and frontend when I test it, and even if I change them in the builder, nothing changes in the sandbox.

the edit and delete columns are also missing even if I recreate the grid view from zero.

It is strange, but I see that you just remplaced them.

You say that you only removed the default field of the table ?


What I think is a problem of synchronization between JS and PHP in Cook builder.
I will try to find it out. Big deal because I cannot raise this error for the moment.

Thanks Admin,
after your last upgrade of the builder, the problem is fixed in the backend, but in the frontend I still see some issues:

- the edit and delete icons in the toolbar are missing in the grid view (even if in the builder they are configured)
- edit and delete columns are missing in the grid view
- there is an empty icon in the toolbar of the item edit view (and there is not any empty icon in the builder item edit view)

I didn't replace the main field. I had 2 fields, the joomla user and the authoring field, but then I realized I needed just one, so I removed the joomla user (it was the main field), and then I started to have issues.

I completely wrote the project again from zero. Sandbox: in the frontend the follwing things are missing (but they are in the builder):

- in grid view: edit and delete columns are completely missing
- in the grid view on the toolbar the edit and delete icons are missing
- in the edit/new item the delete icon in the toolbar is missing

moreover even if I "flushed the dataset" I still see there are 2 components installed in the sandbox, shouldn't I see only the component/project opened in the builder? (I'm not sure about this)

workaround found!
I did few tests.
If a close my browser (firefox 12.0 - win7 64bit) and I clean the browser history (so I delete also the js and setting of the builder), when I go back to the builder I see NOW the icons in the grid and toolbar with "?" (question mark) so deleting and replacing them with new ones, then everything work as expected in the sandbox (frontend/backend).

when I replaced them WITHOUT cleaning the browser cache, it didn't work. So it is needed clean the cache.

my question is....why those icons become missing?
