Filters don't want to work 03 Dec 2012 10:46 #5769

Hello,

I have a problem with the calendar filter.

I added a Filter in my grid page.
Inside the Filter I've added a Search and a Range Filter in order to filter the grid by date.
In the range filter I've added a date time field.

Running in the sandbox, I can see the filters but the search filter doesn't produce the expected results and the Range field (with the calendar) doesn't produce any effect and the Calendar even does't open.

Could you please help me to undarstand how to fix it?

Best regards,
Alex.

Calendar is not available in the search box.

It is an excellent idea, but because search can handle mixed vars in the same time, it is not possible.

Sorry, I read too fast.

I check it.

Admin,

thanks for answering.

I noticed that in V2.0 the search button works fine.

I still have the problem with the range.

Again, running in V. 2.0 I receive in the bottom of the page a dotted line and this string ROOT]\administrator\components\com_iss\views\interni\tmpl\default.php.

Could you please verify?

Regards,
Alex.

If your range is being used for your date field, it usually works fine in V2.0 and provides a datepicker for you to enter your to and from dates.

Is this not how it functions for you? If not, are you using jQuery or Mootools as I know this works fine with jQuery.

Are you in sandbox or local?

To switch off this feature in local, please select the config option TODO and set it to NO. I believe the TODO always appears in sandbox regardless so don't worry if that is what you are referring to.

Time to create page: 0.247 seconds

For starters it's just so easy to design an app in a way that I'm used to i.e. database first then views followed by customization. The fork system is pure brilliance from a developer standpoint as I can override things and still add and update my projects with minimal effort! Truly amazing to be able to build components in Joomla using incremental refinement without having to do everything by hand. Thanks for the great tool! I am so much more productive now than ever and I can't imagine building components any other way!!!!
