language variables not working 26 Jun 2013 21:08 #7715

hi

has anyone had any issues with language variables not working on the new version ?

for example i have

echo JText::_('S_MAIN_TITLE');

in both the frontend view.html.php and the defalut.php ... but it is not working

this variable is defined in language/en-GB/en-GB.com_resources.ini as :

S_MAIN_TITLE="Health Information & Patient Education"

any ideas ?

No idea.
Cook does not have issue here.
(Note : I recently have fixed few strings, but the language system is working and from memory never had problem.)
This is Joomla native, nothing in Cook is acting on languages string. Joomla handle them all by itself.

Languages files are 3 :
- front
- back
- back sys (for menus when component is not loaded - small file)

I cannot answer you.
Coding is now a piece of cake
