i can t see my component tables how to fix? it show blank , i mean i can't see the tables , and i cant add item , how to add item and show it in admin side and front end side.. its my first time to get in to this...please help .. thanks

After creating a project have you added a new table using the + at bottom left of the tables tab.

If so have you added data fields from the data types tab.

When you have done this go to pages and add the layouts you need, this is what displays your tables.

Then open your collection layout, click on fields and drag in what you need.

Then open your item layout add a form from the bricks tab then drag your fields there.

Should work from there.

P.S. Don't forget to save the table before going to sandbox, I fell for this a few times.

As Kevin said...

There are few steps you have to remember

1 - Create the table and add fields

2 - After the tabel is created, you have to go on the "Pages" section in order to create your layout

3 - You will see Collection and Item... both for Back-end and Front-End. Collection stand for the table containing a list of items, so you can select what item you want to edit.

4 - After you dragged all fields to the correct place, you can test is on Sandbox or download it...

I just run through it quickly myself and realise what someone new to this might be doing.

After creating a table you click on save but this only saves the table name.

There is still a save icon on the top right to save the actual table.

and the fields all need to be saved aswel as a save icon on the top right of the pages too.

I tried just now and it let me go through to sandbox without saving any of these and of course nothing was there.

Maybee worth cook adding some check to warn or ask about unsaved pages and tables before allowing in sandbox

Good call Kevin...

I had this issue right on the beginning... but I realized that was something related to those save buttons... So I went back to my project and clicked and things worked...

For sure... a validation for the save buttons would be something to add...

  I found "cook" two days ago. Played around with it for a day and then within a day got rid of two legacy applications in IBM Lotus Domino Notes and replaced them with "cook". It was really easy. A piece of cake. Actually it was even easier than cooking. Cooking involves more work than developing with "cook". What can I say about "cook"? Great application great price for what it delivers great forum with a lot of information and fast responses active and friendly community fast forward moving development cycle So what should I say "Monsieur Le Cook"? Keep the good work going it will lead to success. Having become a paying member in the words of Edith Piaf may I say ..... non rien de rien ... je ne regrette rien. Vive La France.
