Print overview 19 Aug 2012 08:01 #3200

Guys,
From the front page interface a "must have" would be to have a print icon or menu to be able to send the database overview to the printer. I know managing print view is always a big big mess.. but ...

Good point and one I raised many moons ago. Here's the discussion:

Maybe a while after 2.0 settles? Let's wait and see.

+1 for raising this one again.

One way to overcome this (used it for one of my clients) :
Change the way link is built in collection view, to add the possibility to specify the template to use for this particular item view, then purify one of the templates (i used beez but choose whatever you want, and i reset the css to get a fresh start), then modify the view and place the elements in it.
Hope that's what you want... If you need more, ask ;-)

@VeCrea :
What are you talking about ?

Well, the database preview is created with Raphael lib. The version has changed and now the preview cannot evolve anymore.
To make it envolving, I have to rewrite a lot of code.

I can maybe try to export in SVG file if you want, but as said Edward, not before the 2.0.
Coding is now a piece of cake

  I still don't believe he can really be human to do all this ! From all of the forums that I've ever participated in this is certainly the one that most encapsulates the feeling of being truly open source where everyone's opinions and contributions can and will shape the development of the service! It's truly awesome! Hope you enjoy cooking and look forward to reading and contributing to any of the editorial work that you proposed too!! Thanks
