Buttons 20 Feb 2012 20:16 #1413

Step by step I am creating the component, as in the video, but when entering the sandbox do not see the button "new".

In the builder I see the button, but I do not see it in the sandbox

You must create at least an item layout to see 'new' and 'edit' buttons.

That's all.
Coding is now a piece of cake

In addition, one the layout created, you have to validate it by clicking on the save icon on top right of the layout :p
All you need is Joomla!

I found the solution, my component was before the server change and was not pulling some parameters.

Another question, how I can sort by other field and sort descending

I jumped and started to work on a demo component... but 2 days later this demo component became the real component. I just showed today the end result to my customer and he turned to me and said... "this is more than I expected"... All of this is because Cook did cut about 70% of my work and provided me more ways to improve the usability of the component. The end result was 17 tables all related between than to generate a full dashboard for the travel agents. Thanks for Cook developers for such great tool. This component would not be possible to be done at short time with all the features in it
