Ive been trying to make edit own work over and over again using a simple set up and it does not work. Ive tried with different users and still no luck. I posted as a bug and no answer. Also when I delete the component and flush the data to start new, it is all still there when I build a new one. I went by this post Seen Here . I tried it on my own fresh joomla install with permissions set up and still wont work. I am a bit upset now because I payed for a service and cant get help to a simple problem that should work out of the box. Without this simple feature of "edit own" this service is not useful to me and should have used a free service like Fabrik.

I apologize for not responding, there is a reason.
The V2.0 is almost there and the ACL's insides are working perfectly. So from few days of the beta version, I will may not fix this issue in the V1.5.

I've been keeping an eye on the forums waiting for the new beta release of 2.0 to see if this issue was fixed. I am pleased to announce it now works in the beta version of 2.0. There is one thing extra I added this time which was the new view access wizard. The ACL now works perfect in my testing thus far. I haven't tried on the older version yet, but would rather keep on going further with the beta anyways. Great job admin!

It works for ACL edit own now (2.0 beta), the support was right on the dot. Ive tested with different users and the ACL is great. Thank you admin
