Any chance we going to have the ability to be able to link to other component tables and fields?
Even if the builder gives you one of the following options would be nice..

Yes, it will come.
This is on the middle priority.

Keep sharing your needs, I give it a lot of importance.

Now the works are about 'Cook 3.0'
- cleaning and rewriting whole component with strict 3.x standards.
- JDom less
- Joomla features
- Core cleaning
Coding is now a piece of cake

Ok. all good. This one is one of my most needed additions as I have one very huge component I would like to split into smaller ones. Being able to Foreign Key to other tables ( in other components ) is going to be a dream come true .. I will be patient.

Really great Joomla tool Cook is a great piece of kit for creating Joomla components. It uses a drag-n-drop interface to build tables and fully featured pages. You can test your component in a sandbox before downloading it packaged up ready to install. The developer is responsive on the support forum.
