Will be nice to be able to create a link to external component.

ex: you add a field link where we can put something like &option=com_othercomponent&view=something&cid={fielddata}

I would like to +1 this request as it would add easy linking to other major components.

And that's a big +1 from me to. External URL's or possibly from known Component links within the Joomla! installation. So many possibilities. (Or as Jocelyn might say "So much to do and so little time" LOL).

We would also like the ability to create a link that we can control the GET variables dynamically based on values in the Cook component database.

For example: /index.php?name={fielddata}

This is what you call a component builder. I was able to master using this in a very short time and the resulting component works like a charm. Not just a basic component builder but a fully working component builder with forms fields tables all ready to go. You can make the list and item views to display in the front and back end. Also there is a great forum just starting to evolve and I'm sure this will grow very rapidly when you all realise how good this tool is.
