Jdom as option 26 Mar 2012 05:43 #1728

Why don't you add the option to exclude the JDOM?

I understand it may require a lot of work but I think it should be an option, not everybody like the JDOM layer. Personally I would like use some template manager.

And I also agree, thanks for raising this point Tomaselli.

While I understand the importance of JDom from Jocelyn's development point of view, I feel that being able to use a Template Manager would be more 'user friendly' (read: dummy).

I can't envision how this would look, but I do know that for me as a simple person developer an easier method of managing the template instead of struggling with JDom would be a huge benefit to many more would be J-Cook Pro users.

Thanks for listening.

I'm a simple person developer too and I have just a basic knowledge of programming (just what I need for my things). Jdom looks an interesting tool, but Joomla already gives you some tools to create html objects like jdom does, so I don't see the point to use it as a must. It could make sense if you could modify the output through the j-cook pro GUI, to have more control of your component (if you really do not have any knowledge at all of html/php).
Thank you for the reply.
