Can i create a project with link to other projects 01 May 2014 01:17 #12423

Can i create a project with link to other projects?

My purpose here is to split heavy databases and tables..

is it possible to create 3 projects connected to each other? i mean 3 joomla components that has a join tables to each other? while keeping as fast and integrate query results? or filter by different component database and tables then view the result in the customize listing?

because i had a codeigniter component that was designed and develop in joined tables, i only access those by means of ids, batch ids, clients ids, start date, pickup date, and ending date.

Then view the results in one central component.

How do i do it in Joomla or j-cook?

any ideas how do i start with this? and how to make it possible?

Database structures

1. Main Database should be joomla
2. Database 1 should joomla component assigned not using the current joomla database to make it fast.. i mean separate connection and configuration to database.
3. Database 2 will be a clients specific database, access by client id, batch id, start date, pickup date and ending date.. then show the results in a normal row

Please let me know how to implement filters here from different database location and or path..

Thank you very much for helping me having an ideas here.. this is elaborately similar to my other posts

This is what you call a component builder. I was able to master using this in a very short time and the resulting component works like a charm. Not just a basic component builder but a fully working component builder with forms fields tables all ready to go. You can make the list and item views to display in the front and back end. Also there is a great forum just starting to evolve and I'm sure this will grow very rapidly when you all realise how good this tool is.
