Have just read your topic on 'Say it in Ajax' ...

A rich and very usefull idea. My component runs with long lists of values wich could be filtered to optimize the display in a specific context.

More I read you more I think that the V2.0 of j-cook will be the V3.0 of my component !!!

Marc.

to follow this topic, I tried to test the ajax behaviour.

So I ve created the 3 tables continents, countries and cities.
But in the city layout form, If I enable the Ajax, and choose groupby Continent->name, I have the 2 dropdown with continents lists ?!? and no ajax query ...

Could you have a look at what I 've missed.

Thank you.

You don't have to put both field in the layout. Just add one (city here i believe) and it will work... Maybe a screenshot will help furthermore.
Thx

This is what you call a component builder. I was able to master using this in a very short time and the resulting component works like a charm. Not just a basic component builder but a fully working component builder with forms fields tables all ready to go. You can make the list and item views to display in the front and back end. Also there is a great forum just starting to evolve and I'm sure this will grow very rapidly when you all realise how good this tool is.
